Network Engineer Job in New York, New York US
Key Responsibilities:
Systems
Administer, maintain and support the security, availability and performance of the systems through:
· Exercising knowledge of internet firewalling through the support of the company firewalls, particularly Cisco ASA and Juniper firewalls running JUNOS.
· Ensuring the highest possible availability of the global network through a good understanding of internet routing protocols, particularly OSPF and BGP and enterprise switching based on Disco IOS and Juniper JUNOS.
· Maintaining the company's various remote access VPN systems.
· Ensuring that the system problems are investigated diagnosed and resolved.
· Exercising knowledge of the network management and monitoring applications and protocols.
User Support and Communication
· Interface with customers and internal engineering teams to maintain a first class service
· Provide root cause analyst date to engineering in relation to issues within the global network and follow to resolution.
· Interface regularly and work closely with other members of the Network Operations Team.
· Proactively manager day to day support issues to resolution.
Required Skills
Qualified individual for this position should possess the following:
Required
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
· Cisco Professional Certification (CCNA/CCNP)
· Knowledge of Cisco ASA and Juniper firewalls running JunOS
· Knowledge of IPSEC VPN
· Routing protocols including OSPF and BGP
· Knowledge of switching (Cisco and Juniper)
· Knowledge of TCP/IP
· Knowledge of SNMP
Desirable
· Knowledge of various operating systems Linux/Windows)
· E-commerce background
· Juniper IVE SSL VPN
· Knowledge of QoS, as well as Load Balancers (F5)
