Network Support Engineer (Tier2) recruitment
Primary function of the role is to support the day to day operations of the global network infrastructure and make sure that issues are resolved in a timely manner with minimal impact to the business.
- Act as next level of escalation for the 24x7 first line Connectivity support team
- Perform configuration changes for routers switches.
- Provide in-depth analysis on network incidents and implement permanent fix to avoid them from happening again.
- Provide daily “subject matter expert” assistance to other business or IT groups.
- Ensuring all project tasks are recorded and completed in a professional and structured manner.
- Be capable of liaising with preferred vendors and 3rd party suppliers to deliver projects on time
Others
- Identify network performance improvements
- Use current network management tools to foresee possible network issues that may cause business impact and provide proactive solutions.
- Work with regional counterparts to get global operational policies and procedures to ensure global consistency
- Work with 3rd party vendors to apply industry best practice configuration and topology
Person Requirements
Qualification / Education Required
- Minimum CCNP Certification
- Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience Required
- 3-4 years of hands on experience with Cisco routers/switches
- 3-4 years of hands on experience on Checkpoint and Fortigate firewalls
- Experience with WAN connection via MPLS
- Experience with client connectivity via Radianz, Savvis, etc
- Working knowledge of F5 devices
- Working knowledge of Cisco IPT solution
- Working knowledge of multicast and TIBCO-RVRD
- Working knowledge of Infoblox
- Experience of network
Languages
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
