Our client is a leading global manufacturing company.
They are looking for experienced buyers to manage vendor relationships on behalf of the company. You will be responsible for the professional negotiation of items within the portfolio, eventually progressing into completed formal supply contracts. Through market analysis, you will identify, validate, approve and select optimal sources of supply. You will create and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and end users, and successfully ensure all products and services are supplied within EHS and agreed business standards. You will also guarantee all procurement activities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
Ideally qualified to degree level in a relevant subject, successful applicants will demonstrate sound commercial/business acumen along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a demanding environment. Working knowledge of SAP is essential, as is sound understanding of procurement techniques and processes.
