New Business Executive
Job responsibilites:
A New Business Executive is responsible for all aspects of the sales process, including:
- The conversion of prospective clients into accounts
- The management of account opening process, from the initial query through to the client’s first trade
- Explaining products and procedures
- Assisting prospective clients and existing clients with the dealing platform
- The generation of new business by attending exhibitions, seminars and tradeshows.
- Face to face meetings
Key Performance Indicators:
- Leads into accounts
- Untraded accounts into trading accounts
- Number of accounts opened
- Number of hours on the telephone with clients or prospects
The majority of the role is telephone based. The person is also expected to exploit any other sales opportunities that arise, and attend occasional seminars and trade shows outside normal work hours.
Remuneration is linked to individual and team performance. Full in-house training is given in order to help people reach the appropriate skill levels to perform all functions of the role.
Essential Criteria
- At least two years sales/customer service experience in the financial industry
- Economics/Finance degree or industry qualified
- Excellent communication skills, particularly on the phone
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin
- The ability to meet and exceed sales and performance targets
- The ability to work effectively under pressure
- Flexibility in approach
- To be able to establish rapport with people of all status and backgrounds
- The ability to work well within a team
- The patience and skill to explain products and procedures
- Good IT knowledge and skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of the CFD market and competition
Desirable Criteria:
- CMFAS Module 1a or 1b
- Module 6a would be an advantage
