NICU Nurse

We are currently looking for Full and Part time Neo Natal Nurses to work in prestigious hospitals in the north London.

Neonatal nurses work either within specialist neonatal units (within maternity or children's hospitals) or in the community.

The neonatal nurse also has the important role of supporting the parents of the baby at a time when they themselves are very anxious and stressed. As far as possible, the parents and occasionally other family members are encouraged to take an active role in the care of the baby.

Entry requirements:

You'll need to be a registered adult nurse, children's nurse or midwife to work in neo-natal nursing. After a period of six months of relevant experience, nurses and midwives should be encouraged to undertake continuing professional development.

Skills:

As well as the general skills needed to be a nurse, neonatal nurses require:
Very good interpersonal skills
An empathetic understanding for the parents and other family members
An interest in new-born babies
A good understanding of the physiological and psychological needs of the new-born
The competence to work in a highly technical area
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Successful candidate will currently be living in the UK. Have at least 6 months current UK hospital clinical experience. Have the ability to adapt to different hospital environments. Be Self-motivated, uses own initiative and will make decisions. Candidate must be able to work under stressful situations and respond effectively to challenging situations
