Nonferrous Scrap Trader
The group is actively conducting business in over 30 countries with offices and representatives strategically located throughout the world. Nonferrous scrap metal, mainly copper, aluminum and brass, are the primary focus. Knowledge of other scrap items is a plus, as well as understanding of these metals in primary and semi form. The existing business must be maintained and profitably grown with the candidate’s additional knowledge and contacts throughout Europe and beyond. New products, activities and approaches are welcome to be developed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree (or the equivalent in profound experience)
- 3-5 years’ experience in a comparable function
- Excellent German and English required
- Additional languages considered a plus
- Knowledge of logistics
- Understanding and experience in hedging and risk management, especially commodities and forex
- Motivated to travel and work independently as required
The company is ISO-certified in trading and processing of primary and secondary metals. Satisfaction of customers and suppliers is critical. Being a good team member is important, meaning clear communication and willingness to help out as needed. Our small team requires this trader to work and think independently. Speculators in metals need not apply.
