Quantitative Risk Analyst- Wealth Management

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

· A flexible, broad role involving extensive interaction and coordination internally and externally.

· Work with risk and global IT teams to progress key business initiatives, development of new business models and system functionalities, including testing and project management.

· Review and development of new risk methodologies, internal and external reporting.

· Coordination of daily risk management processes including review of investment guideline breaches and ensuring resolution/response from hedge fund advisors.

· Follow up and resolution with prime brokers, fund administrators, trading advisors and other clients.

· Manage the approval and execution process for investment guideline amendments.

· Review implementation of investment guidelines and review subsequent amendments.

· Assist with the daily oversight of the general operation of the managed account platforms.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Technical Skills:

The business is operationally intensive and requires an individual who is confident, articulate, highly organised and able to co-ordinate others, with a solid grasp of financial markets, derivatives and hedge fund trading strategies.

Relevant 2-3 years experience in a similar role at a investment bank, asset management firm or hedge fund.

· Strong technical and quantitative academic background

· Relevant postgraduate qualification and/or solid work experience in relevant areas

· Prior experience in market risk, quantitative metrics (VaR, greeks, scenario building), development of risk systems.

· Desired Attributes:

· Advanced knowledge of financial products including derivatives; legal, structure, risk, economics, modeling and lifecycle.

· Programming skills welcome
