JOB DESCRIPTION     

                                         

JOB TITLE: NURSE

LOCATION: Various (Listed above)

REPORTING TO: Clinic Manager / Regional Manager

 

Purpose of Job:  The Nurse is responsible for administering the program and providing guidance and treatment to patients. The Nurse is to review patient charts, oral reports and lab reports, identify any concerns and bring these matters to the attention of the Doctor for resolution.  In addition, the Nurse is to provide excellent customer service when dealing with patients. 

 

Responsibilities:


Medical Duties

·         Operate professionally, ethically and with integrity according to the highest medical standards and practices

·         Ensure thorough knowledge of all policies, procedures and clinic services while adhering to all protocols

·         Provide comprehensive program information to prospective and present patients and responding to questions.  At times of uncertainty, refer issue to higher authority for guidance

·         Conduct consultations for new patients, individually or in groups.

·         Monitor and discuss ongoing progress with patients, ensuring appropriate completion of all documentation (Patient and Diet Sheet Assessments, Blood Work results, etc.) in a timely manner.  Refer all medical abnormalities to the attending Physician and Supervisor

·         Administer injections, and ensure proper documentation

·         Perform urine tests and other vitals as required

·         Communicate any problems/concerns to the Supervisor

 

Customer Service 

·         Greet patients in a welcoming and professional manner

·         Administer the program professionally and respectfully, recognizing the patients’ medical, physical and emotional needs

·         Respond to inquiries or refer appropriately as required
