Job Duties Include: The Nurse Manager is a licensed professional who is responsible for providing safe and appropriate nursing services to Walgreens Infusion and Respiratory Services patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of Walgreens Infusion and Respiratory Services, the state's professional standards, and other regulatory entities. The nurse manager a competent leader who is responsible for the coordination of patient services with the pharmacy, delivery, reimbursement and other departments both internally and externally. Clinical patient care activities will consist of approximately 20-40% of the nurse managers time. Meets all standards as outlined in the Registered Nurse I and II job descriptions. Demonstrates competency in the clinical management of home infusion patients as evidenced by documented previous work experiences and completion of a skill checklist. Manages time effectively and demonstrates leadership qualities in order to deliver and manage appropriate patient care. Assists the General Manager and/or the Director of Nursing in the recruitment, development and monitoring of new staff. Coordinates and participates in on-call responsibilities. Maximize work efficiency in the pharmacy through the use of computers and other technologies. Effectively communicates with general manager, pharmacy manager, office staff, regulating entities, medical team, patients, and family. Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information. Acts as the office Infection Control Coordinator. Facilitates and attends required inservices. In all activities comply with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements. Minimum Requirements: Registered Nurse with a license in the current state of practice. 3 years home health/infusion care experience or equivalent. 2 years supervisory experience in a hospital or home health care setting. Knowledge of local, State, Federal, accrediting body, and OSHA rules and regulations. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Self-directed with excellent time management skills and able to work independently. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and oral) with team members, patients, caregivers, physicians and referral sources. Ability to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate clinical programs that will meet the needs of the community served. Ability to teach, train and empower staff to implement the clinical services process in the home care setting. Flexibility and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Active member of a state or national professional organization. Preferred Qualifications: Two years of management experience in home health care. BSN with CRNI or other professional certification.
