Nurse Practitioners can expect to be away from home anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks at a time. The duration depends on the needs and number of members within a geographical location. Matrix absorbs the cost of our NP’s to return home one weekend per month. After an NP has completed an assignment, we work to schedule them back at their home base for a week and schedule visits around home base. If we do not have significant needs within their hometown, they can expect to be away from home longer than 12 weeks. The NPs can, at their own expense, return home each weekend as long as they are available for work by 8:00AM the following Monday.
