Nurse Staff Educator
Job Details: **HRS Based on Unit Needs - May Require Nights and Weekends**For the Heart Hospital This position is responsible for assisting program development, performance management, knowledge management, and practice management within their respective departments and collaboratively with other PH employees. In addition, this job also demonstrates experience and expertise in a specific area of clinical nursing and implements the role based on the needs of the patient, the nursing staff and the health care delivery system. Works collaboratively with education and nursing leadership for to improve the delivery of patient care through the education function. All employees are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Palmetto Health s values of compassion, dignity, excellence, integrity and teamwork. Requirements: Education: Bachelor s degree from an accredited school of nursing; Experience: Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience; prior education experience preferred; Number and Type of Employees Supervised: None; Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina; CPR certified/instructor; may require ACLS certification or other specialty education/training depending on clinical area of assignment; Special Training: Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to treat patients of all ages; must have a strong clinical knowledge base and possess the ability to teach and incorporate adult learning principles.
