Occupational Therapy Supervisor*
Under the direction of Rehabilitation Director or designee, evaluates and treats patients according to department policies. Responsible for assisting the Director in the supervision of all OT staff.
*Participates in the educational activities of Jewish Home Lifecare, and provides orientation, inservice training and continuing education for department staff.
*Actively collaborates with the residents/patients and members of the interdisciplinary team to achieve common goals.
*Implements plans by directly treating patients.
*Keeps current of new developments in the field and applys them as appropriate in the department.
*Signs/countersigns progress notes written into patient medical records by OT staff, as may be required.
*Assists in the upkeep of the clinic and office areas, equipment and supplies.
*Performs other related duties as required or directed.
Skills/Requirements
M.S. degree in OT and valid NYS license and registration as Occupational Therapist required.
Three (3) years experience as an OT. A minimum of one (1) of the 3 years must be supervisory experience.
