OD Portfolio MI Analyst recruitment
Job Purpose:
- Consumer Credit Risk responsibility.
- Responsible for ensuring the production of all regular Overdraft MIS reporting in an accurate and timely manner. Proactively design, develop and enhance MIS production within the Risk team.
- Ensure that along with delivery of precise information, MIS is readily available for stakeholders, Risk and Control Self-Assessment purposes and Internal / External Audits.
- The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that all MIS is in place in order to comply with Global Consumer Credit and Fraud Risk Policy and local legal and regulatory requirements.
Job Background/context:
- The role will report in to the MI Manager
- MIS is used within the Retail Business to monitor and evaluate portfolio performance and drive the Business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- The job holder will indirectly influence management through MIS production
- Necessity to ensure that all regular MIS production is produced correct and on time, in line with business expectations
- Ability to create MIS for compliance to Global Consumer Credit and Fraud Risk Policy along with legal and regulatory requirements
- Responsible for the assessing and proactive development of on-going automation of all reporting existing reporting
- Key to instigating new report development
- Ensuring validity of all work / recommendations
- Accountable for the following business critical procedures/reports: Overdraft data mart, Basel numbers, Credit Risk Reporting , Portfolio Quality Review, PL, Risk Mitigation and Cashflow reports
- Responsible for consistency of information across all reporting sources, including Finance systems. Ensuring escalation of any issues to management
- Responsible for assisting with production of MIS for ad-hoc requests, such as presentations and portfolio reviews
- Aptitude to ensuring that all procedural documentation and change control processes are in place and updated where necessary, including program narratives and ensure compliance to EUC standards.
- Responsibility for keeping up to date with Industry standards and techniques. Make recommendations to Management on software use in order to optimise efficient MIS production
- Representing the Risk team in all relevant issues working in conjunction with other Business areas
- Planning and prioritisation of MIS requirements across all products
- Supporting Forecasting and Loan Loss Reserves procedures
Skills
Knowledge/Experience:
- Strong business acumen, need to understand the business model and ability to understand the potential impact of change.
- Substantial technical skills, including SQL, SAS and Excel (including VB)
- Understanding of policy and applicable MI requirements.
- Strong understanding of business financial performance drivers and the impacts of credit performance on business results.
