Leadman - Provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to other craft workers in work crew, providing assistance to Foreman, while working in the capacity of a journeyman.DIVISIONMaintenanceSUMMARYEmployee works under close supervision and performs assignments as instructed within their assigned Department.RESPONSIBILITIES- Safety will be your number one priority at all times! - Must be willing to learn and have a strong ability to work well with others. - Ability to cut, grind, rig, and use a tape measure is required. - Able to use a torch and can read drawings and understand their details; ability to do take offs and learn different angles and degrees. - Can perform fab clamps, pipe support stairways, skids, decks, jackets, handrails, boat bumpers, walkways, and landings. - Ability to read Welding Symbols with a clear understanding. - Experienced knowledge of all fitting skills to include pipe and structural. - Must have exceptional work ethic to include Attendance and Dependability to assigned tasks and projects. - Must have a strong desire to grow and learn the different opportunities that are available for advancement within the company. - Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and site rules. This includes all safety required personal protective equipment. - Responsible for ensuring all required tools (list provided during New Hire Orientation) are brought daily. - Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.JOB REQUIREMENTS- Typically has novice experience in the field and requires minimal supervision. - Works on a straightforward tasks using established procedures; work is subject to review by others. - Depends on others for instruction, guidance, and direction. - Works with others as part of the team. - Must have all applicable offshore credentials i.e. Basic Rigging Card per API RP2D (latest edition), Water Survival, Safe Gulf.QUALIFICATIONSMay require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
