Online Acquisition Manager recruitment
The Company:
Our Client is seeking an Online Acquisition Manager to join their team. The eBusiness and Digital Marketing team are responsible for driving traffic to their Direct website and managing all content on the site. Specific areas of responsibility cover Social Media, SEO, External display advertising, PPC, onsite search and onsite advertising. The person will work closely with the Direct Marketing team who are responsible for Customer communications, proposition, segmentation and targeting, utilising above the line advertising, direct mail and events.
The Role:
Reporting to the eBusiness Director you will have responsibility for developing their PPC and external display strategy. This role will encompass the following:
PPC management:
- Working with the PPC agency to achieve key KPIs around cost per acquisition and ROI.
- Brief new campaigns for PPC including understanding the competitor landscape and work with agency to ensure that these go live within agreed timelines and reviewed and optimised on an ongoing basis.
- Actively manage existing campaigns to ensure ad copy, links and landing page are fully optimised.
- Work with PPC agency to devise effective bidding strategies.
- Produce management reports highlighting success achieved through PPC channel.
- Produce channel plan with forecasts on leads and acquisitions through PPC
- Ensure all web journeys are tagged correctly to measure conversions.
External Display Management:
- Working with the Marketing team, you will be responsible for producing creative briefs and working with agencies or our internal designers to develop interesting and innovative banners and online creatives.
- You will review and input into online media plans and opportunities to deliver good cut-through online advertising through target sites.
- You will optimise marketing across target sites by ensuring that the creative and product focus are relevant and engaging to the site audience and ad placement position.
- You will be responsible for delivering target KPIs around cost per click and cost per acquisition for our online advertising programme.
Reporting on success will be a key part of the role, so you'll work need to work with their reporting systems such as DART, Google Analytics and WebTrends.

- A good understanding and passion for web technologies
- A sales mentality where achieving conversions in key
- Proven ability to communicate confidently to all levels within the business
- Experience and ability working across a matrix organisation
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in the Mutual Fund, Brokerage or Financial Services industry would be advantageous
- Outstanding organisational project management skills
