Operations Due Diligence Analyst

The firm is an independent asset management firm, that manages over $2.0 billion in client capital.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Investment Research team, the Analyst
will be involved in/responsible for:
-Conducting operational due diligence on new Hedge Fund and Private Equity Fund investments
-Executing the Operations Due Diligence reviews of existing investments
-Ownership of the Operations Due Diligence process
-Implementation and maintenance of Operations Due Diligence information in internal systems
-Monitoring industry and regulatory developments and adapting the Operations Due Diligence process in response
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with an exceptional academic record
• CPA with relevant audit experience in asset management or banking
• 4 - 5 years of other relevant financial services work experience in fund accounting, operations or risk control at asset manager, bank, hedge fund, prime broker or administrator
• Excellent understanding of various Hedge Fund strategies
• Work experience above includes dealing with OTC derivatives
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Innovative thinker, control oriented , detail-oriented
• Self-starter with proven ability to multi-task
• Pleasant, professional, presentable, discrete
• A quick learner, team player, good communicator
• Direct Operations Due Diligence experience preferred but not required
• Experience with analytical software preferred but not required
