Operational Risk Manager – Needs strong IT skills recruitment
THE COMPANY:
Our client is leading retail financial services house
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- By applying and regularly reviewing the Control framework in Retail to ensure it remains fit for purpose and effective
- Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and strategic plans in Retail and challenge Risk/Control owners to determine the impact on risks and controls in their area
- Help facilitate Retail Governance and Control meetings with all stakeholders and producing timely and appropriate MI
- Identify and escalate any failures (or potential failures) of controls and agree action with Risk/Control owners
- Ensure controls are tested as per plan for effectiveness, identifying any gaps and agreeing actions with Control owners
- Help maintain best practice of risk coordination activities in Retail by providing interpretation, guidance and suggest ways of making work more efficient and effective
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Operational risk experience gained within financial services
- Strong IT skills in Access Excel
