Operational Risk Reporting / Framework Analyst

PURPOSE

Supporting and playing a key role in the development and implementation of the Reporting Programme and Operational Risk Management Framework.

This role encompasses Reporting, Key Risk Indicator OR best practice compliance and OR management framework enhancement initiatives.  It involves playing a key role in producing a fit for purpose and value adding reporting proposition and OR framework which is subject to ongoing review, and ensuring all key business areas are captured, reflecting current risk issues to meet with the FSA’s requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key contributor, deliverer and executor of the Operational Risk reporting and OR framework enhancement proposition to ensure it is of value to the business and contributes to the oversight and management of operational risk.

Responsible for the following activities/ areas through robust and sustainable processes:

• Establishing and monitoring meaningful KRIs and thresholds and ensure provision of basic OR data/ metrics.

• Work closely with OR managers, business stakeholders to identify new businesses/ areas/ risks that should be covered by MI/ KRIs.

• Work with other groups to establish consistent metrics for global businesses.

• Consolidate all available data, KRIs, etc re operational risk and perform robust analysis, concluding on the key risk areas, themes, areas of concern and focus

• Assist with the preparation of value adding and timely reporting for the key stakeholders and committees with respect to Operational Risk ensuring entity and business related demarcation where relevant and employing advanced use of Excel where required

• Ensuring that adequate support processes are in place (and duly documented) relating to reporting requirements and tasks

• Support the ongoing development and improvement of the reporting framework in particular scenario analysis, operational risk appetite, risk register, loss event (internal and external) capture and analysis, across the business, liaising with business stakeholders and senior management in extracting information and meet the expectations of both the business and the FCA/PRA.

• Support the ongoing development of automation of reporting/ KRIs and the quantification of operational risk and operational risk thresholds.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports directly to the ORAM Head of Regulation and Reporting

• Provision of reporting for the key London risk committees

EDUCATION /OR EXPERIENCE

Required

• Operational Risk Framework and reporting experience required

Preferred

• University/ equivalent accreditation preferred but not essential
