Operational Transaction Services Director/Associate Director

In our Transaction Advisory group, you'll help clients achieve their strategic objectives, whether they are acquiring or divesting, restructuring or embarking on a joint venture. We are a team of management consultants dedicated to advising Australia's leading organisations with commercial and operational due diligence, synergy identification assessment, post merger integration or carve-out support and benefits realisation. As a Director / Associate Director you will play a pivotal role within this team of industry leaders who provide comprehensive advice to a portfolio of blue chip clients. You'll lead and project teams as they assist a diverse client base with pre-deal analysis to post-transaction integration or separation planning and execution, and you'll develop and maintain client relationships and look for new opportunities to expand your portfolio.
You will lead engagement teams and manage the client relationship on a variety of activities including:
- provide transaction support to clients pre / during and post completion
identifying and assessing merger costs and synergies and maintaining cost and/or synergy models - developing and managing Day-1 readiness checklists
identifying integration or separation program risk/ issues and maintaining registers and monitoring mitigation activities - working with client teams to develop their integration or separation plans
tracking integration synergies and costs or defining service scope and costing for schedules as part of a transition services agreement - developing and delivering pitches and proposals for clients
- You will also be actively involved in developing our practice building methodologies and training and developing the team.
Suitable candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
- Strong track record in management consulting preferably within a transactions background
- Extensive commercial experience and strong technical skills in the relevant areas such as pre deal transaction support, commercial and operational due diligence, synergy identification assessment, post merger integration or carve-out support and benefits realisation
- Proven business development and client management skills
Robust leadership skills to enable effective team management and coaching - Ability to adapt to a constantly changing and growing business environment
Previous experience with the Resource sector will be highly valued (but not essential)
