Operations Advisory – Banking & Capital Markets

We are a growing team within EY Advisory with a focus on Capital Markets working with top tier investment banks. We help our clients improve their effectiveness, efficiency and control associated with their trading operations. We comprise of a group of industry experts. In the last year alone we have increased the team by more than 50% and continue to grow.

Our team analyses, designs, recommends and implements solutions for the full spectrum of products and functions within the capital markets industry.

You'll be working on assignments which include:

- Front to back assessments
- Operating Model assessments
- Assessment of controls and operational risk framework
- Process Transformation
- Impact assessments of EU/US Regulation
- Business process strategy and redesign.

Your responsibilities as a Manager will include:

- Managing a client assignment and leading a small team

- Developing long-term trusted advisor relationships

- Identifying opportunities and securing new business

- Aiding proposals and bid teams

- Developing quality technical proposals

- Managing on-site EY teams.

Qualifications/skills you'll need as a Manager:

- Successful track record in the capital markets industry gained through a top tier consultancy (Big 4 etc...), a specialist financial services consultancy or within an internal consulting function of a top tier bank or a top tier Asset manager

- Appreciation of current market trends in Capital Markets Technical Skills

Experience in one or more of the following areas is essential:

- Product range - Equities, Commodities, FX, Rates and Credit, Capital Markets and Structured Products

- Transaction Services - Client Onboarding, Settlement, Cash Management, Trade Services and Prime Brokerage

- Competencies - Operating Model Design, Cost Reduction, Post Merger Integration, Front to Back Optimisation and Legal Entity Rationalisation

- Risk and Regulatory - KYC, MiFID, Basel, FATCA, EMIR, Collateral Optimisation, Recovery and Resolution planning, Dodd Frank, EMIR, OTC Derivatives Clearing, Client Money and Client Assets assessment.
