Operations Analyst/Trade Support – Temp to Perm – Hedge Fund recruitment
Opportunity to work as part of a small and very busy operations team’ supporting a well established and diverse London based hedge fund.
The role will be diverse, and as such we are looking for an individual who has a broad range of operational experience, ideally with knowledge of corporate actions, settlements, reconciliations, and various other middle office functions.

The person will be a highly motivated and driven individual who is interested in joining a well newly formed team, and proving that they have the commitment and drive necessary to become a part of the long term future of the fund. They will need to be analytical, with excellent problem solving skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Pro-active and flexible in approach, the individual will need to be able to turn to whatever tasks are required on a daily basis,
Experience of Corporate Actions and Reconciliations would be preferable, though not essential. Ideally post grad, with up to 3 years operational experience within buy/sell side group or within an administrator.
Team Responsible for:
Reconciliations:
Daily reconciliation of cash balances, transactions and position balances between Prime Brokers and Portfolio Management System using Intellimatch automated reconciliation system.
Monitor high risk items – High Value and aged breaks to be prioritised and escalated where appropriate.
Become familiar with the matching rules set with in the reconciliation system and look to enhance to increase automated matching rate. Contribute other ideas to the operations team to increase STP for the reconciliations.
Investigate and rectify cash and position breaks coordinate with Prime Broker, counterparts and administrator support groups. Internally ensure breaks are being addressed and prioritised. Report unresolved discrepancies to relevant investigators for resolution.
