A major global financial services provider with over 300 years of history and expertise in banking, this role falls within their wealth management arm of the company.

Opportunity:

The chance to join an established wealth management firm in a managerial role, acting as a conduit between the trading desk and various operations teams, ensuring activities are completed to assure trading and expiry activities are completed in full and on time.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong knowledge of operational dynamics, such as Service Level Management, Recruitment, Training and People Management.

The ideal professional will:

- Have a degree, ideally within Management, Banking, Finance and Economics

- Possess strong knowledge of operational dynamics and key business drivers, such as Service Level Management, Recruitment, Training and People Management

- Possess a solid understanding of the Credit and Derivative Business

- Have a proven track record of coaching skills and delivering feedback, in order to drive quality and performance, and will have the ability to improve and drive performance

- Have a strong track record of successful management of Operational teams.

- Proven track record in the Credit environment

- The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of derivative products and proven experience within the derivative market.

- Exposure to Continuous improvement methodologies, e.g., Lean, Kaizan, Six Sigma

- Have managerial experience.

Role

To manage the day-to-day delivery of all operational aspects for two key teams, the Credit Operations team and the Trade Support team.

The role holder will act as a conduit between the trading and various Operations teams, and will be accountable to the Head of Credit Operations.

The role will include leading, directing and implementing a strategy to ensure full delivery of the department's operational service level commitments (SLAs), client satisfaction and service improvements via day to day performance management, resolution of persistent service issues and the forecasting and management of medium term workload and resource fluctuations.

Key accountabilities:

- Stakeholder and Service Management (reporting, engagement and issue resolution)

- Transformational leadership (motivate, appraise and develop direct reports)

- Performance management (accountable for achieving performance targets for the team)

- Change management (support credit operations team in service delivery aspects of strategic change and business management)

- Risk/Project management
