Operations Supervisor – Sarnia, ON                                                                                                

 

Due to recent expansion, Plains is currently looking to fill the position of Operations Supervisor at our Sarnia Fractionation Plant located in Sarnia, ON.  The successful candidate will be accountable to the Facility Supervisor for managing the Operations group at the Sarnia NGL fractionation plant and storage facility.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:

·         Knowledgeable of LPG storage / loading facility operations with 10 years experience, or an engineering degree (B. Science) with 5-10 years of engineering, plant processing / bulk storage and terminal experience;

·         Strong operations knowledge and troubleshooting skills;

·         Excellent interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills;

·         Strong understanding of process equipment, pressure vessels and heaters;

·         Ability to interact and effectively direct employees within the facility;

·         Ability to manage a multitude of priorities and direct staff in a fast paced and changing environment;

·         Strong computer skills with MS Word / Excel;

·         Be self motivated with high energy and ability to self direct.

 

Knowledge or skills in the following will be considered an asset:

·         Skilled in policy and procedure development, implementation and enforcement;

·         Safety compliance knowledge;

·         Salt cavern petroleum storage or solution mining experience is a plus;

·         Time management.
