Leading European multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking an experienced C#/.NET Operations Technology Team Lead Developer. With over $30Bn in Assets, the group are absolute specialists across numerous disciplines and asset classes. They have a state-of-the-art infrastructure and proprietary analytical technology and offices spanning the US, Asia and Europe - they are a key global player in the asset management space. The group have a diverse research approach that is executed by some of the brightest minds in financial markets today.
Role Description
The role is a full-time position, leading a team of 5-developers. The successful applicant will have experience leading a team, managing projects and liaising with business leaders to gather and analyse requirements. They will also be responsible for providing immediate development assistance to help an Investor Relations implementation. In addition they will work with the existing development team to improve the .NET infrastructure, services and feeds across the technology platform.
Essential Experience Required
- 1 class applied creative thinking, innovation and problem solving skills
- Experience of multi-threaded software development
- Exposure to high quality current software development practices with agile software development, unit testing, continuous integration and dev/qa/prod release procedures
- Ability to support dynamic business environments using complex technology processes
- Experience running development team
Desireable experience
- Experience working with middle/back-office functions
- Product knowledge of the life cycle of exchange traded instruments (e.g. Futures, Equities, Bonds) and OTC products including FX, Rates, Swaps and Credit
- Good knowledge of the processes and procedures in the back and middle office of a bank / hedge fund
- Experience of the Calypso trading application
- Business analysis experience in a bank or hedge fund

- Oracle DBMS (HIGHLY SOUGHT)

- Able to cope with issues not previously encountered and approach them in an analytical way
- Capable of delivering a root-cause analysis and the executive communications required for each incident while handling multiple questions/issues
