Ops Support

I have been retained by a Leading Global Organisation for a Ops support rep on a 6 month contract.
The successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge of KYC/AML and reference data concepts and needs within a major global financial organisation

Key Responsibilities:
Research and validation of customer requests using appropriate internal and external data sources
Ensure products are classified in line with required market conventions and regulations
Ongoing maintenance/refresh of existing product data
Ongoing set up and maintenance of products in a variety of internal applications
Daily interaction with global Front / Middle Office and IT teams to ensure timely update of all corporate actions and product data

Active monitoring of data quality to ensure accuracy
Liaison with other product teams globally to ensure new products are setup correctly and meet local regulatory requirements prior to trading activity
Daily exception and system analysis to drive continuous improvement of the operations systems

Experience
Previous banking experience, specifically of customer identification/KYC within a global financial services organisation would be advantageous.
Familiarity with external products and services that add value to client and account data management

Highly Desirable
Knowledge of Product data (Equity, Fixed Income, Options, Futures)

Qualifications
Good academic qualifications would be desirable, but less relevant than a strong track record in data analysis and/or operational reference data.
Financial services related qualifications would be advantageous (e.g. IAQ or similar)
