Oracle Analyst Developer – 6 Month Contract recruitment
Opportunity
MG are in the process of a number of large IT development projects and we are looking for an experienced Oracle Analyst developer to work on projects supporting and enhancing our Oracle 11G Database applications. The candidate must have good all round Oracle development skills. Any understanding of the Investment industry would be an advantage but not a requirement. They should be experienced in working within a structured team using set standards and methodologies,.
Key responsibilities
- Oracle 11G development using relevant tools including - TOAD, PL*SQL Developer
- Write and unit test modules
- Carry out system testing
- Support UAT and implementation phases of project
- Liaise with Technical Lead to resolve issues
- Prepare and handover projects to production support
- Q/A code and design of other developers
- Agree with Project Manager/Service Manager budgets for the programming work to be carried out
- Development and packaging of applications including use of code management tool MKS
What we are looking for
Essential
- Strong experience of development using the Oracle Toolset including Oracle Developer Suite 10G (Forms and Reports), PL/SQL, SQL*Plus and Unix (including korn shell scripts).
- Proven track record of delivery on business critical systems
- Used to working in a structured environment
- Good interpersonal skills, must be able to work well with other members of the team and deal tactfully with users
