A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Oracle DBA to join a large, rapidly expanding and exciting company which requires the applicant to be involved in the development and production stages of the company's databases.

The successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of database administration including backups (RMAN), recovery, performance troubleshooting, dimensioning and development. You will be a key figure for the team and company, whilst getting exposure to and working with the latest technologies on offer i.e. Oracle 11g.

The successful applicant should have strong Oracle 10g/11g background, PL/SQL and SQL skills with a proven track record to be able to work as either part of a team or alone in challenging environments. The role requires the successful candidate with to aid the development of stored procedures in PL/SQL. Any experience or exposure working with geographic data ideally using Oracle Spatial or Locator would be advantageous but not essential.
