Oracle Sybase DBA recruitment
Our client, a global investment bank, is looking for a motivated individual to join them. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily administration of the large database environment including installation, configuration, migration, tuning, backup, monitoring and improving security. They are looking for candidates with excellent communications skills and people with experience of working in large banking institution HW’s like London, NY or Tokyo will be highly sought after.
Essential Skills:
- At least 5 years Oracle DBA experience in a Unix (Solaris) and Linux (Redhat) environment
- Extensive experience in installing, configuring and tuning Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g
- 1 years experience Sybase DBA, preferably with experience of configuring and tuning SYBASE Replication server software
- Solid experience working on large Enterprise Level Systems
- Ability to perform PL/SQL coding including areas of functionality and performance
- Able to install, Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SYBASE IQ Server administration
- Microsoft SQL Server database administration
- Experience in a NAS/SAN environment
