Order Entry Representative Job in Sunnyvale, California US
Primary Function of Position
The Order Entry Representative I is an advocate for customer needs and is responsible for processing incoming purchase orders, accurately and timely. This person must be able to read and understand various purchase orders and work closely with other teams such as Sales, Finance, and Accounting. The Order Entry Representative is also responsible for handling incoming phone calls from internal and external customers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This position has responsibility and authority for:
- Entering sales orders into SAP via EDI; verify that the terms and conditions of purchase orders are processed accordingly.
- Provide outstanding customer service support.
- Manage customer data within SAP, ensuring that contact information is kept up to date.
- Knowledgeable on ISI policies, processes and procedures as well as subject matter expert on products and pricing.
- Effectively follow up and resolve sales order issues and log them into department database.
- Provide ad hoc reporting as needed.
Skill/Job Requirements:
In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must have:
- 4 year degree or related job experience.
- 1-2 years experience working in a call center support and inside sales/order management, preferably in medical device.
- Experience in working with customers directly or indirectly.
- Strong attention to detail, as well as strong analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize duties.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and a working knowledge of computers and standard software applications, preferably with SAP and Microsoft office.
