OTC Fixed Income (Structured Credit) MO Analyst recruitment

Experienced Middle Office Trade Analyst required with a track record in complex transaction management and control monitoring. Responsibilities will focus on the full ‘Front to Back’ life cycle checks, intraday processes and EOD checks/reporting. The role will sit within the DMO (Derivatives Middle Office) team, which forms part of the wider Operations group within the UBS Investment bank. Main functions of the group consist of:
-Ensure trade data integrity for all T0 transactions (completeness, accuracy and timeliness). This mandate includes, but is not limited to, independent trade booking verification, ensuring consistency between risk management systems and third party trade representations.
-Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of post T0 trading processing and data flow
i) Manage Life cycle management related process
ii) Monitor and improve transaction flow into all consumers functions (Operations, Finance, Risk)
-The DMO team also fills critical role in ensure trade booking practices adhere to pre-defined trade booking models, effectively acting as gateway into the Bank’s infrastructure.
There will be a regional focus to ensure controlled booking and lifecycle maintenance of complex/structured products along with:
- Transaction review – new business integration/validation and post-trade deal review (ensuring risk booking model is in line with legal documentation
- Daily interaction with Trading, Structuring, Credit, Market Risk, Product Control and Legal
- Excellent understanding of flow (e.g. CDS, Index, Index tranches) and complex derivative products (Bespoke tranches, credit options....)
- Representing Operations in new business initiatives
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Middle Office analyst/Trading Assistant or similar function, closely aligned to trading desks.
- Solid understanding of structured products and derivative transactions (not just theoretical) - credit derivative products and vanilla fixed income instruments (bonds, futures, IR Swaps, FX).
- Experience in the trade capture processes, PL production/validation demonstrating quantitative and qualitative skills.
- Controls focused and experience of designing controls
- Confident in using relevant software packages, financial models, valuation tools and other data manipulation packages.
