OTC Pricing / Valuations Business Analyst (permanent)
This role exists to analyse and coordinate all business related project delivery tasks required to implement the chosen OTC pricing solution for new and existing clients.
- The SME/BA acts as Full time representative of the business on the project, ensuring at all times that the direction of the planned project deliveries are appropriate to the business needs, and will fully meet the business requirements. They are responsible for safeguarding that the expected benefits, particularly business benefits, are achieved and that the supporting business operating model is successfully established and rolled out.
- Assist in the implementation of a target technology and operating model to support OTC Pricing across a number of products and functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with system analysts and system developers to specify a solution to meet the business requirements. This is achieved through close working with the team to ensure current processes are fully understood and proposed changes to these are clearly understood and communicated back to the OTC Pricing Team.
- The creation of 'To Be' state business processes is the responsibility of the SME, as is the production of use cases, training materials and user procedures to accompany the delivery of a new technology solution.
- Working with system analysts and developers to help detail, structure and test the technical delivery. Functional testing and production of tailored and relevant test-packs is also therefore a key BA responsibility.
- Accountable for ensuring the adopted solution meets the expectations and requirements of the business line(s) which are to be impacted.
- Assisting with the smooth transition of business change. They are a central point of reference for queries from the affected business lines, will assist with training and UAT support, and be on hand to assist with key tasks required for migration.
- Raise any considered risks issues with the Agile Process Lead, and log these into the Risk Issue tracking tool used by the project team.
Key Skills:
- Ability to analyse and capture business requirements
- Strong knowledge of investment operation and fund administration processes and procedures
- Excellent Subject Matter knowledge of OTC Pricing Risk measure and methodologies
- Ability to create test plans as well as orchestrating and executing these plans in conjunction with IT and end users
- Awareness of business steps and checks that can be included in implementation planning
- Be aware of relevant industry initiatives/developments in the area of OTC Derivatives
- Ability to identify project risks and issues which may impact planned deliveries
- Awareness of agile project management methodologies
Key Experience/Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years' OTC Pricing experience
- Previous project experience and familiarity with associated "tools" eg business process mapping, functional requirements documentation and testing
- Experience in building and executing business-focused testing and migration strategies
- Experience on major system implementation of the Calypso solution would be preferred
