Our Outside Sales Representatives are Key Players who assist with every stage of the process – from managing customers and processing orders, straight through to product delivery.


The Opportunity

We’re looking for a self-motivated Outside Sales Representative to promote and sell Graybar’s products in compliance with Company pricing policies and instructions to achieve maximum gross margin rate.  You will progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers and source new business through prospecting new customers.  Sales Representative must customarily and regularly engage in work away from company's place of business. You will create quotations and manage customer-pricing matrices for assigned accounts; handle customer complaints promptly and effectively; report potential claims; and perform other duties as assigned.  We are looking for an individual who possess the sales skills, the aptitude to learn and apply new skills/knowledge, and a sincere interest in a career - not just a job.


The Requirements

A Bachelors degree is preferred. Four to ten years junior military officer experience preferred.  A broad knowledge of product line and pricing.  Proven ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals.  Negotiation skills along with ability to sell and be persuasive.  A broad knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.  A professional appearance and demeanor and an acceptable driving record.  This position may require onsite customer visits.
