Packaging Engineer
Our client discovers, develops, manufactures, and delivers innovative human therapeutics and is currently seeking an Associate Packaging Engineer to conduct tests and evaluation leading to the recommendation and selection of primary and secondary packaging materials. This is a CONTRACT position in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a 6 month assignment, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only.
Responsibilities
- Report into the Device Package Engineering (DPE) group under Global Drug Product and Device Development
- Apply engineering principles to help execute the proper design, qualification and implementation of Primary and Secondary Packaging components and the associated systems such as documentation, equipment and processes
- Write test protocols, perform technical evaluations and submit testing results to support technical assessment reports used to justify the use of selected materials
- Support the development of SOPs and Tests Methods
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Packaging, Engineering or Life Sciences is preferred
- 1-2 years general packaging / engineering experience
