Part Qualified Accountant
Hays are exclusively representing a new Shared Service Centre based in Manchester. Our client is a highly respected multinational retail company who have been trading for over a century, and who have recently moved to the North West. They are a people developing business that provides the possibility for movement across the business and the opportunity to learn about a variety of areas within accounts.
They are looking to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant to assist in the production of their month end accounts. The successful candidate will have experience in producing month end reports, assisting the Senior Management Accountant of a Shared Service Centre or large company. This role will be responsible for the production of month end reports across two European Business Units and therefore will require a candidate who can match the requirements of this large task. You will have intermediate to advanced Excel skills and have commercial accounting experience through liaison with non-financial managers and projections of forecasts, preparation of budgets and compiling of commentary for senior financial staff.
Duties:
- Financial reporting
- Monthly account preparation
- Producing and reporting upon the Profit and Loss account
- Accruals and prepayments
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing purchase ledger
- Producing sales invoicing
- Manage control accounts – reconciliations, bank, balance sheet
- VAT Returns
- Produce commentary on monthly management packs
