Working in the Corporate Tax department at KPMG will give you the opportunity to develop relationships with clients as you help manage the amount of corporation tax they need to pay. This involves working with clients to produce complex tax computations and returns for HM Revenue Customs, giving advice on corporate planning and restructuring projects and finding ways to reduce their effective rate of tax.

We are seeking to recruit a Tax Assistant in our Corporate Tax department in the East Anglia practice necessitating cross office working with the Cambridge team.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Preparation and submission of tax returns and computations
- Preparation of tax payment advice and deferred tax provisions
- Assisting with tax audits in accordance with terms of reference agreed with the audit team.
- Advising the audit team of potential tax exposure
- Assistance with capital allowance reviews and Research and Development claims
- Monitoring the tax compliance position using the Tax Administrator
- Keeping internal control records up to date and ensuring compliance with quality control procedures
- Involvement on tax advisory and planning work on client portfolio

Qualifications and Skills

Part-qualified ACA/CTA or equivalent
