Part-Time Attorney (fixed-term)
Delaware Investments is seeking an experienced investment management attorney in Philadelphia for part-time work on a fixed-term basis.
General Responsibilities include:
· preparation of registration statements and other SEC filings
· negotiation of investment management agreements
· advising clients on issues relating to the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
· preparation of agendas, resolutions and other materials for Board meetings
· review of shareholder reports and marketing materials
· distribution-related issues and contracts
· review of vendor contracts
· transactional work
Requirements:
· Law degree required.
· Minimum 3 years work experience as a lawyer, preferably in securities law or investment management law
· enjoy assuming responsibility and be able to work with minimal supervision
· strong interpersonal skills, initiative and a good eye for detail
· flexible approach
