PARTS/PURCHASER

Responsibilities:
*Provide/ensure constant parts supply from U.S. supplier.
*Effectively negotiate pricing delivery from local vendor list to ensure inventory levels meet internal and external requirements.
*Process "external" parts orders via; phone, fax, e-mail, walk-in.
*Process "internal" parts orders as they relate to the service department.
*Provide technical parts services to; technicians, customer care co-coordinator, sales force as required.
*Receipt of data into business system.
*Thorough understanding of software system and facility processes to minimize inventory losses.
*Detailed knowledge of software system intended for improving inventory control.
*Identify and recommend action for underperforming inventory assets.
*Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, co-workers and customers.
*Process freight damage claims.
Qualifications:
*Parts Journeyman Trade Certificate or working towards.
*Extensive experience in a parts related position will be given preferred consideration.
*Experience in the air compressor related industry preferably in a customer service, mechanical and technical capacity.
*Computer proficiency with strong Excel skills.
*Effective time management, multi tasking organizational skills.
*Dynamic team player with positive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
