As the Payment Operations Risk Manager, you will effectively lead and manage a group of operational risk analysts to ensure the business is acting within the necessary regulatory and legislative requirements for managing operational payment risk.
- Key responsibilities;
- Shaping and develop the operational risk reporting and self certification process for Payment Operations, ensuring this presents an accurate picture of the current risk profile and detail of associated actions
- Developing and implementing the operational risk framework, specifically the process control framework, across the business and re-assessing this to ensure it remains fit for purpose
- Reviewing and analysing risk intelligence, using internal and external data
- Identifying current and emerging trends and providing recommendations for review
- Promote awareness and understanding of the control environment, and take ownership for ensuring that the operation understands the processes for which they are accountable
- Liaising with key stakeholders and influencing their thinking on risk related matters within the business.
- Providing consultation and support to Team Leaders and Operational Managers in the understanding, identification, management and mitigation of operational risk and control
- Team coaching and development
Experience required;
- Experience in a similar role within the Financial Services/Banking industry
- Experience of design and delivery of Risk policies, processes and procedures including being able to provide robust evidence of compliance
- Experience of managing people
- Significant experience of coaching and developing others to deliver great standards
- Ability to influence people who are not direct reports
