Payroll Coordinator

Xylem seeks employees with the ingenuity, skill and passion to help solve the world's water challenges. Specifically, we are seeking a Payroll Coordinator - Financial Shared Services.

The person in this role will provide payroll services to various value centers and provides assistance to internal customers, our employees. The payroll coordinator works closely with Human Resources to insure accuracy of all employee data including payment to employees, taxes, and employee elected deductions and divisional cost, processing to and maintaining Payroll to Ledger, reconciliation of accounts, forecasting and reporting payroll information to managers and Controllers, and back-up support for other payroll roles.

Responsibilities of the Payroll Coordinator role include:
-Multi-state payroll processing in a Shared Services environment for both hourly and salaried employees. Perform all functions required to process payroll on time and accurately
-Reconcile and post pay cycle from supportive records to General Ledger and balance against other records
-Create payroll accruals at end of month; journal entries as required
-Provide various regular and ad hoc reports to managers and controllers
-Wage information for internal and external customers
-Work closely with HR to maintain union information in time attendance system
-Support for Payroll Supervisor/Manager
-Assist with reconciliation of various tax or benefit accounts
-Validate 401k deductions, contributions, and loan activity
-Assist with special projects

Required:
- High School + 5 years experience, OR
- Associate's degree + 3 years of exp OR
- Bachelor's degree +1 year of experience.
- Required - Accounting I and II College Level

Experience:
- 5-10 years of HR/Time and Attendance/Payroll/Accounting experience.
- Preferred experience in a shared services/centralized services environment.
