Payroll Manager
Great opportunity to join one of Washington DC's leading employers. This Manager - Payroll Technology role is part of a large accounting operations that oversees all related payroll processing. This role will assist the Director, Payroll Technology with all technical aspects of Payroll business processes. In addition, it will work with Director to oversee integration of all system changes that may impact the payroll operation.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Maintain all system schedules for enhancements, upgrades, interfaces and implementations for all payroll systems such as SAP, time and labor applications, payroll tax updates, ADP and other support systems.
- Document, communicate, and coordinate production technical issues and work with IT for proper solutions.
- Prepare, document, and develop comprehensive user acceptance testing program.
- Work with IT to identify, evaluate, plan and implement best practice technical solutions that increase efficiency and reduce cost.
- Develop exception reports for internal payroll use and prepare required reports to support employee programs such as vacation liability/usage, long haul and allocated tips.
Position Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business or Computer Science
4-5 years of SAP Payroll, Tax Reporter and Time experience
CPP Certification
High level of technical and analytical ability
Knowledge of Federal, State and Local taxation
Knowledge of payroll business processes and process re-engineering
Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize competing demands
