Payroll Manager/Accounts Assistant

My Client is a leading manufacturer operating within the FMCG industry, and a job has arisen with them for a 3-6 month temporary contract as Payroll Manager/Assistant Accountant.
They are looking for someone who can manage a team of 3, and report directly into the Statutory Finance Controller. You will be responsible for auditing the monthly payroll; carrying out control checks across all areas including reconciliation of all salary related payments to accounting ledger and NI/PAYE returns;ensuring all monthly and statutory returns are made; preparing monthly pension schedules and supporting the business in key projects including auto-enrolment. In addition you will also be required to provide accounting support to the commercial side of the business as and when required.
To be considered for this role you will have extensive and up to date knowledge of payroll administration and control matters; with up to date training across current payroll issues with strong numerical and analytical skills. You will be naturally organised, flexible and reliable, with an ability to work to tight deadlines. Experience of Oracle and a background and understanding in more general accounting practices would also be highly desirable but not essential.
