Payroll Manager/Business Analyst

Hays Specialist Recruitment have been asked to work in partnership with an award winning company in Cornwall to source an experienced Payroll Manager/Business Analyst.

This varied full-time role encompasses running the payroll, analysing detailed trading information and purchase ledger processing. As a key hire into the business, you will report be solely responsible for the timely and accurate payment of 200-400 employees. The payroll is run on a monthly basis and managed via complex systems and manual calculations, so ability to learn quickly, have expert technical knowledge and a keen eye for detail is essential.

To be considered you will have a proven ability of working with payroll systems, such as Sage, and Excel and will have a demonstrable track record of delivering a similar-sized payroll function. Additionally you will have a solid understanding of taxation and payroll best practice.

The ideal candidate will be adept at extracting and manipulating data from accounting systems and be able to interpret and communicate a detailed analysis of KPI’s driving the business. Wider experience of working in an accounts department, including purchase ledger work, is also required.
