Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing various interfaces and direct deposits. This position is based in Vernon Hills and reports directly to the Assistant Controller.
Responsibilities
- Timely response to inquiries for information in all areas of the Payroll Administrator’s duties
- Prepare/verify month end reports including monthly bank reconciliations
- Calculate various earnings, deductions and taxes; disability, new hires, terminations, garnishments, bonus, 401k deductions, state, federal and local taxes
- Process various interfaces and direct deposits
- Written and verbal communications with employees in regards to paychecks, deductions, taxes and earnings
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Payroll experience
- Must be extremely detail-oriented, organized with excellent analytical ability and strong communication skills
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, trust and confidence
- Possess proficiency in ADP, Kronos, and MS Office applications
