Payroll Support Analyst II
The Raytheon Payroll Center in Greenville, Texas is looking for a full-time Payroll Support Analyst II to support and improve processes within the HR/Benefits Team within a shared services payroll organization responsible for the administration of HR/benefit changes within PeopleSoft.
This Payroll Support Analyst will be responsible for:
With minimum supervision from Manager, function as a Subject Matter Expert to assist the HR/Benefit Team with the
administration of Human Resources employee level transactions and various employee benefit plans such as defined contribution savings plans, defined benefit pension plans, health and welfare plans, Leave of Absences and Leave Accrual plans. This team's primary focus is to oversee the maintenance and updating of the HR and employee benefit data within the employee records in PeopleSoft.
Additional Responsibilities include:
- Help Support HR/Benefit Team as a Subject Matter Expert by resolving escalated employee inquires and other issues as they arise
- Perform root cause analysis while providing exceptional customer service to inquiring internal or external customers
- Review and audit benefit and payroll related reports to ensure accuracy with employee data
- Contribute to recommendations for change to evaluate and revise internal processes and controls to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Exhibit HR competencies including, action orientation, influencing others, communication skills, collaboration, technical knowledge of HR and benefit functions, and team work
- Assist in supporting business growth by supporting HR/Benefits efforts for due diligence or post acquisition integration as requested by Manager
- Regularly contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards within the Human Resources and Benefits area
- Remain current on legislative changes in benefit arena
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in the Payroll, Human Resources or Benefits administration experience
- Minimum 2 years experience working with a major HRIS system (PS, Oracle, SAP)
- Knowledge of common benefit laws and regulations and basic HR regulatory considerations
- Strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of variable factors
- Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills for complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously and attention to detail
- Ability to show a high degree of initiative; ability to drive change to promote functional productivity and efficiency
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs and continuously meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Intermediate skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project
Desired Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- PeopleSoft 8.9 and/or 9.0 experiences
- Experience with PeopleSoft Upgrades
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
