PEGA Senior Systems Architect
Position Description:
- Evaluates business requirements and prepares detailed specifications that follow project guidelines required to develop written programs
- Formulates, defines and documents the functional system specifications
- Devises or modifies procedures that solve complex business problems with due consideration for hardware/software capacity and limitations, operating times and the desired results
- Analyzes and revises existing functional documentation
- Generates innovative ideas to resolve problems
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding all defined target goals and milestone dates for the project in order to ensure its overall success
- Assists in training junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, architecture and delivery of PRPC-based solutions across multiple projects. Interfaces with internal development community. Responsible for ensuring that business and technical architecture of the solution matches technical and functional requirements as well as identified business objectives.
- Provides technical leadership to team members and customers solving very complex business requirements.
- Possesses advanced technical knowledge of PRPC architecture, design and implementation approaches.
- Participates and drives all phases of the projects, helping to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Leads and oversees multiple development streams.
- Works with multiple Project Managers to size and manage scope.
- Mentors other team members on PRPC and their project tasks.
- Provides technical expertise in diagnosis and resolution of complex technical, architectural issues involving multiple IT teams, Pega and third party vendors.
- Understands, models and ensures PRPC development best practices
- Team oriented with strong role modeling and conflict resolution skills

Requirements:
- 3+ years relational database experience using MS SQL
- 4+ years hands-on experience with PRPC architecture, design and implementation
- 4+ years hands-on experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting PRPC (Pega) applications
- 2+ years hands on experience coding, testing, and deploying Java/Java Script.
- Working knowledge of PRPC development best practices
- Pega Certification
- High school diploma/GED and 10+ IT years experience or Bachelor's degree
Assets:
- Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field
- DataWarehouse ETL experience
- Experience using ASP/.NET application - Knowledge of Visual Basic
- Oracle Db
