ROLE

Managing the performance needs of existing clients, supporting the portfolio managers, client services, RFP and reporting functions

Serve as subject matter expert responsible for identifying performance measurement solutions for new, complex product and client offerings.

Ensures solution is thoroughly defined and documented from start to finish including upstream dependencies/requirements to downstream deliverables/impact.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Completes rate of return calculation, validation and discrepancy analyses.

Performs intra month analysis of performance Vs benchmark to identify any issue that may impact performance.

Generating Attribution Analysis and Portfolio analytics for equity, cash and fixed income portfolios

Works with portfolio managers in identifying performance issues

Providing ad-hoc reporting, analysis and research as necessary to the Client Service Team

As needed, individual also works with internal partners to resolve client enquiries and/or address client information needs

Generates ideas for operational efficiency.

Interprets business periodicals in order to recognise and understand the market environment.

Develops or completes projects in designated areas of expertise.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

Solid knowledge of finance, statistics, investment products and performance measurement methodology usually acquired through related work experience. Excellent analytical, interpretation and communication skills.

Proven understanding of asset management terminology and familiarity with investments instruments is essential

Knowledge of Funds and SMA's performance

Excellent PC literacy required with strong knowledge of MS-Excel essential.

Proven ability to quickly understand new systems, both in-house and market data provider systems such as Bloomberg and Factset highly desirable

Numerically competent with strong problem solving and analytical skills

Must have an eye for detail

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally

Organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload

Self Starter, able to think ahead and schedule tasks

Ability to be flexible and change priority quickly

Ability to get other departments to deliver with the tenacity to follow up on outstanding actions.

Reporting and performance background preferred

CIPM or IMC qualification preferred
