What’s on offer?

Aviva Investors is a great place to start your career. For 2012, we have 2-3 graduate opportunities within the UK Performance Analytics team.

A placement within the UK Performance Analytics team will provide access, knowledge, and experience in equities, fixed income, Multi-Asset and Alternative assets, which will enable you to gain a broad range of skills and experiences. You will develop a true practical understanding of Performance and Risk and its importance to our business.

You will definitely be given real responsibility from the outset. This will involve taking on challenges that push you outside your comfort zone and sharpen your business understanding, problem-solving skills and commercial insight. You will experience on-the-job training, which will be supported by a carefully structured development programme.

The big difference between Aviva Investors and our competitors is the amount of individual attention you will receive. From day one you will be doing a real job in a real department and have the opportunity to work alongside our top talent. You will be assigned a mentor and a management sponsor, who will provide support and career advice as you learn and develop. Our training programme is challenging, but the objective is to provide you with the necessary skills to ensure you reach your objectives of becoming a high-performing Performance Analyst, with the potential to rise into senior roles both within the team and our business.

In addition to this structured learning, you’ll also be given the support to gain relevant professional qualifications including the CFA or CIPM qualification.

Do you have what it takes?

To be considered you will have a minimum of a 2:1 in Mathematics or Business/Economics and strong A Levels (minimum of 260 UCAS points), and be able to demonstrate strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

In order to thrive in this environment you will need to be client focused and commercially aware. You will also need to be proactive and have an innovative and creative approach. You should also possess good team working skills and be able to demonstrate integrity.

Knowledge of the Asset management Industry or Global Investments would be advantageous.

What next?

If you are successful at application stage; you will need to complete a competency-based  telephone screening.  A short list of candidates will be offered the opportunity to attend a Graduate Assessment day in London (No. 1 Poultry) in the 3rd or 4th week in September, with successful candidates starting immediately. The deadline for this opportunity is Friday 14th September but we would recommend that you to submit your application ASAP.
