A leading energy trading company based in London are seeking a new VBA, Excel, SQL Developer with experience of supporting trading software systems. The firm operates in more than 30 companies worldwide, and is one of the largest producers and suppliers of energy and following exceptional growth within this market they are in a position to hire a new VBA, Excel, SQL, Developer to build Front, Middle and Back Office functions and provide support to the full trade lifecycle.
As their new VBA, Excel, SQL Developer you will be expected to have financial services experience where you have worked to build functions specifically tailored to trading needs - also where you have had the experience of supporting highly complex excel spread sheets. The financial experience will be needed as a basis as you will be trained in derivatives management, pricing curves and market curves.
The VBA, Excel, SQL Developer will be responsible for:
* Building new functions in VBA, Excel, SQL (or SQL Scripts)
* Scripting (Perl,Python etc)
* Providing escalated support to troubleshoot issues with critical business systems that support the trading function
* Liaising with internal support organisations and external vendors as necessary
* Working directly with the business to become a financial expert (including pricing and curves)
* Development and application support of their energy trading systems
* A strong degree in an IT related subject, minimum 2.1
