personal assistant/bookkeeper for busy CEO Job in Northridge, California Us

Busy CEO of non-profit foundation supporting the arts seeks a permanent, experienced, personal assistant/bookkeeper.

 

Duties:

• Bookkeeping (reconciling books using Quicken or Quickbooks; paying bills, paying house staff)

• General office (maintaining office/filing systems; organizing; telephone, email, and written communications/correspondences; word-processing; ordering supplies; maintaining inventory; running errands)
• Maintaining calendar/Scheduling and confirming appointments (i.e. database entries, travel arrangements)

 

Requirements:

• Strong communication (written and verbal) and follow-through skills - to clearly and concisely communicate with supervisor, colleagues, clients.
• Proficiency with Mac Computers and with programs - especially Outlook, Quicken, Quickbooks, Microsoft Word, and Internet navigation.

• Extremely detail-oriented, organized, efficient, dependable, responsible, conscientious, and grounded.
• Car (for errands) with verifiable auto insurance coverage and good driving record.
• Must be able to type 50WPM or faster.

• Available 5 days/week; approximately 40 hours per week during business hours.

 

The ideal candidate is someone who embraces the role of being a personal assistant -- helping the busy CEO's life to flow more easily and effortlessly. Therefore, high energy, a positive "can do" attitude, ability to wear multiple hats, and flexibility to adapt to changing situations and priorities are a must -- as are possessing professionalism, particularly regarding confidentiality, decorum and etiquette; the maturity and security/self-confidence to take direction, but work with minimal supervision, a willingness to learn new systems, and a dedication to meeting deadlines. A college degree is preferred.

 

On occasion, may be asked to babysit granddaughter, pick-up granddaughter from school, take dog to vet, groomers, and pet-sitting; therefore, candidate must love dogs and children.
