Summary: The performance analytics team is tasked with articulating a clear strategic vision for assessing the performance of the personal insurance product lines. In this role, the analyst will be responsible for profiling customers, developing countrywide tools, monitoring new initiatives, trending and analyzing financials, entertaining adhoc requests, and supporting our business partners. In addition, the role will require strong leadership, individual contributor skills, and ability to influence management. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Establish, track and analyze department performance metrics - Promote best practices related to data manipulation and application usage - Data extraction, manipulation, synthesize results, formulate conclusions, influence - Advise business partners on cost/benefit analysis, provide analytical support - Scorecards design and development in coordination with business partners - Internal and external department support - Ability to explain and interoperate production metrics Job Competencies/Qualifications: - Strategic orientation - Outstanding Leadership - Proven ability to influence - Aptitude and desire to learn programming languages/applications and DB interfaces - Solution and action oriented with a bias towards execution - Analytical thinker, highly competent at analyzing quantitative data - Strong written verbal communication skills - Enjoys product/process and performance improvement challenges - Adept at multi-tasking and energized by a fast-paced work environment. - Proficient with identifying variables and extracting data Education / Work Experience: - Minimum of 4+ years industry experience - 4-year college degree or equivalent experience - Beneficial - solid knowledge of Personal Lines products and systems Travelers is an equal opportunity employer.
